Tho schoonor Mapere, Carlaw, master, which arrived yesterday from tho Great Barrier, brought up a cargo of sawn limber. The schooner Prima Donna, Captain Cook, entered on:wards at the Custom House yesterday for ths New Hebrides, and will sail early.

The barque Anne Melhuish, Captain Williams, from Newcastle, N.S.W., is alongside the hulk Bella Marina her coak. The cutter Flora Mac Donald, Buckland, mastor, sailed yesterday for Awanui, in ballast, aud two passengers. The new brig Flying Cloud, will positively clear at tho Custo:ii3 to day f,r San Francisco, and sail to-morrow. A large number of passengers proceed bv her.

The cutter Smuggler, Captain Shepherd, cleared at t''e Customs yestercl.iy for Wangarei and Mangapai, with a cargo of timber, sundries, &?., and 19 passengers. She sails this morning. The cutter Agnes leaves for Poverty Bay and Nauier this day.

The Panama Co's s.s. Lord Ashley, Capt. Worsp, is due here from the >outh with the Panama mail on Friday next, the oth inst.

Notice to llakin'rhs.—The following notice to miriners is published for general information : — " Point Lonsdale Light, Victoria —Commanders of vessels, pilots, and others, navigating the entrance to P'irf Phillip, are hereby informed th-it the temporary fixed red and jreen light on Point Lonsdale will, on and after the 25th of February, be discontinued, and a light of the same character, but of more power and range will be exhibited from sunset to sunrigo from the lighthouse near the Point Lonsdale Telegraph station. This light will be seen ten (10) miles off in ordinary weather, appearing green between the bearings of about nortli by west and north-west halfwest; and red between the bearings of about northwest half-west and west by south. From these bearings navigators will observe that the north-west lialf-we-t lino pas'es near the Lonsdale and Lighting Ro:'ks ; they must, therefore, be on their guard before the colors begiu to change, as the blending of (he red and green lights will indicate close vicinity to the line which passes from the lighthouse over thes-> dangers."
