LOSS OF THE 'STATELY.'

It was only a short time since that we gave a description cf the new schooner ' Stately ' launched at Mahurangi. 33y the steamer ' Taranaki,' -which arrived recently, news has been received of her total loss, at Oamaru, where she had gone for wheat. She had loaded at "Wangapoa a cargo of timber, which was on hoard at the time of her loss. The vessel was only insured for £800, thereby causing a loss to the owner of at least £1,000. Both vessel and cargo were insured in theN.S.W. Marine Assurance Company, the cargo for £400. —Mrrch 29.
