If a man have a bad memory it is some excuse for forgetting himself. An old maid, speaking of marriage, says it is like any other disease—while's there's life there's hope. A Canadian newspaper contains the following plaintive advertisement:—" Will the gentleman who stole my melons on last Sabbath mght be generous enough to return me a few of the seeds, aa the melona are a rare variety."
