On Saturday last, hay was in U3ual supply, and without alteration in price. Maizo rpught 5s 6d to os 9d; bran, Is 7d the bushel. Good working horses wore in fair request, but iufor Or stock scarcely saleable. At Otahuhu, on Tuosday, there wis a full market of store cattle, all of which met with a ready sale at full prices. Half bred wethers, good stores, brought 31s (id eiich. At tfowmark-t, on Thursday, there was a large mustor of store cattle, which sold at high rates, medium dairy cows bringing extreme prices. Fat cattle were of large size,, hut generally not of prime quality ; prices were slightly in favor oi" th buyer. A pen of sto.ro half bred wethers in low condition, bought 28s each. Fat sheep ware in short supply, prices consequently ruled high, Merino wethors bringing from 27s to ii!3j oach. Lambs were plentiful, but in demand, best pens bringing from 20s to L>6s ; inferior pens, lis to 18a each. Sheep Market. —Our market was indiflerently supplied with sheep, and thoso that were in was inferior. Good sheep are rising in. price, and appear to be scarce^ Otahuhtt Balo,—At this market we had a good show of store cattle, which realised satisfactory prices ; two year old steers, from eight to nine pounds each ;: some springing' heifers from thirteen to fi fteeii pounds each. Horse Market.^—'Saturday last, at our yards, wa had good show of horses; draught, light harness, and saddle horses. Prices we consider are advancing for good sound animals of all descriptions, for winch there is considerable demand. Horsna ;of the latter class are very scarce, inferior animals are Btill very plentiful in the market. New Zealand maize, 6s 6d; Sydney ditto, 6s ; feed flats, 5s Od to 6s; seed ditto, 7s.
