Per Constance, for San Francisco :—3BO tons coal, Henderson and ilacfarluno. ARRIVAL OP THE DRAGON. The fine clipper American barque Dragon, 242 tons, Captain \Vann, arrived in harbour yesterday morning early from Valparaiso, via Sydney, bringing a full carpro of wheat, flour, barley, maize, &c, consicned to Messrs. J. Roberton and Co. "The Dragin left Valparaiso on tho uth July, and made a fine run of 61 daye across to Sydney, experiencing fine weather, with the exception of one hurricane ctl" the Feejees. Left Sydney for this port on the 16th instant, and had fine weather to the 17th, when on that day, in long. 157 , 16, lat. 31 '1 S., wae struck witii a heavy squall, carrying away several siils ; bar. 295, and lightning playing about the deck. Had extiemely heavy squalls from the westward throughout the 10th, 20th, -Jlst, and 22nd ; barometer ranged from 29'(! to 2!l 9 all the time. Had very unsettled weather up to the '2'Ard. When off the North Cape the ship was struck by a heavy squall, during which she lost light sails and foretopsail ; experienced another squall off the Poor Knighis on the 24th, barometer 2'.W all that day, and arrived in harbour yesterday morning early. Captain Wann reports that the Peruvian ironclad had arrived at Valparaiso just before he sailed. The Chilo Peruvian ironclad llaet were going down to Chiloe to attack the Spanish fleet, the arrival of which had been, reported there, but they (the Peruvians) were detained by an extremely heavy norther, during which the ironclads dragged their anchors. The vessels in Valparaiso, when ho sailed, were the Corvette America, 12 guns; ironclad frtgate Apurimae; do. do. Independencia; ironclad turret ship Wascar; Spanish gun-boat (captured by the Chilians) ; corvette Esmeralda ; and the corvette Union, in command of Rear-Admiral Blenco, Com-mander-in-chief of the fleet. No vessels were loading for New Zealand except the Pros] ector and Queen Victoria. H.M.S.S. Brisk will, we hear, leave for Sydney ■this day with despatches. The ships Monarch and Norwood both hauled from ■the wharf into the atreum yesterday, and will Bhortly be taking their departure, the former for Melbourne ■with troops, and tho latter for Guam. The schooner Neva went over to the North Shore yesterday for the purpose of being taken on the patent elip there. The schooner General Cameron, Captain Wheeler, arrived in harbour on Monday night last, after a tempestuous passnge from Russell, bringing a cargo of kauri guui, &c., also the following passengers:— Messrs. John Kathbone, J. CaUaghan, Hoore, George, Thoe. Williams, and a native. She leaves again for Eussell to-day. The Sβ. Taranaki, from the South, i 3 due in the Manukau to-morrow, and the e.s. Rangatira, from Wanganui and Taranaki on Friday next. The schooner Joanna having discharged her cargo .of battle at the Tamaki, came up harbour on Monday night last. The cutter Smuggler has completed her repairs, :and sails this morr.ing for Wangarei and Mangapai with a full cargo.of timber, &c , and y passengers). The barque Free Trader has come alongside the wharf to discharge her cargo of coals. This vessel has been laid on the berth for ijydnoy, Newcastle, and Hobart Town. The barque S. Page, for Brisbane, and ochooner William and Julia for \Vt llington direct, sail this day ; and the barque Anne Meihuish, for JKcwcastle, N.S.W., leaves to-morrow. The schooner Harriet JCint; has been laid on ihv. berth again for Sydney with despatch. The s.s. Wellington, Captain Benner, sails at 2 p.m. to-day, for the Southern provinces via Tauranga. The barquo Constance, Captain Elliott, cleared at the Customs yesterday for Sau Francisco, with ;i cargo of coals and 13 passenger*. !She eaile to-day. The p.s. Tasmanian Maid, Captain Seon, sailed last evening for Wangarei, with cargo, passengers, Ac Upon her return she sails for Coromandel on Friday. The barque Alice Cameron, Captirin Nearing, leavee for Brisbane, to-day, with troops, stores, &c. The Dragon, which arrived to-day from Valparaiso, via Sydnev, brings a full cargo of wheat, flour, .barley, maize, &c.
