Tho fruits of tho accession of Mr. Whitaker to the offico of Superintendent are already apparent to us, and we may anticipate that, at any rate, afuir apportionment of the Provincial funds will be expended in Buppllying our wants. By last steamor, fifteen of the newly arrived emigrants from tho Capo came down to take up their quartors on ton acre lots, which will be granted to them as soon as surveyed, as also one town section. Thoso people aro employod on tho roada at present; for tho welfare of the place, they could not bu moro profitably employed. November 21. Wo are, it is belioved, to havo at leaet fifteen more emigrants located here, and as tho survey is to commence at once, ono of the ourvoyora having aloady arrived, no timo will bo lost in the formation of homoetoadß. Tho land sot apart for these people is considered very fine, and thoso who have visited Coromandol will know its position when I say that the Township elect is situated in that wood through which the road to tha diggings passes. November 23. The manager of the Kapanga sende up 320 ozs. of gold from tho claim. He is obliged to send up by to-morrow's steamer, owing to the 30th of the month falling on the day boforo the atoaroer loaves for town. November 23. Tho steamer arrived this afternoon. Ono of the surveyors with a party of men were passengers by her. The newly-arrived emigrants will come in capitally for employment aB labourers, whenever euch »ro required, ■ " "
