OPENING OF THE "CHARLES BRUCE" LODGE L.O.E. M.U. A.D.

A goodly number of the brotherhood assembled last evening at Brother C. Bruce s, the Sportsman's Home. Hobson-street. for the purpose of assisting in the opening of this new lodge by the Past Officers of the Auckland District. The whole affair passed off most satisfactorily, and a large number of young men were initiated into the craft. The opening proceedings being over, the company adjourned to the supper-room, where an ample repast had been laid out in the most creditable manner, by Brother Bruce, and to which ample justice was done. Then followed appropriate toasts and speeches, and the company dispersed at a late hour, highly satisfied with the evening's proceedings. Owing to pressure on our space we are compelled to hold over our detailed report until our nest issue.
