Sydney, July 18. The annual meeting of the Pacific Insurance Company was held to-day. From the statement submitted to the shareholders a loss was shown on the year's transactions, and hence no dividend was declared. The premiums, fire and murine, received during the vnr had been very large, amounting to £80,000 (£79,999 18s 4d), or, deducting £23,511 for cost of agency commissions, returns for short interest, re-insurances, and expense of agencies, an available amount of £56,488. To this waa to be added £1017 balance from j.revious year, and £1730 inteicst on investments, making a total of £59,266. But this was still £4350 less than the year's expenditure and losses, which bad been very severe. Tin marine losses amounted to £37,352 and the firo losses to £19,932; the expenses of maungement were £4261, the dividend paid in January last was £2000 and £40 had been written off tlie value of the office furniture, making the total outgoings £63,617. The reserve fund amounted to £27,500 at the previous yearly balancing. 1
