Egmont, for the Southern Ports, and barque Alice Cameron, for Sydney, both sailed yesterday. Our little ferry-boat, Waitemata, was running to Riverhead yesterday, and under the able pilotage of Mr. Noyor she did her wjrk well. She left the wharf at 10.45 and arrived at Riverhead at 1 p.m. Loft again at 2 and arrived at th« wharf at 3 35. The s.s. Star of the South arrival ih harbour yesterday morning. She left Auckland on the s*h inst., a»id arrived at Napier on the 9th. Nymph, cutter, 18 tons, from the Bay of Islands. , arrived here last night, with passengers, viz.:—Miss ( Russell, Messrs. Beet, Von Sturmor, Fisher and tour . in the steoroga, and 18 boxes of kauri gum. one passed tho Sea Breeze about 20 miles to the south ot Capo Brett, on Tuosday morning. Thb Egmont.—The Panama, New Zealand, and Australian Royal Mail Compauy's now steamer Egmont, James Hagley, commander, nrrived outside the Bouldor Bank at 730 p.m. of tho sth April, from Sydney, with 126 passengers, and a full cargo for this port. She passed through Sydnoy Heads at 6_40 p.m., March 30, with light wind from the south. Towards midnight tho wind increased, and at 5 am. on the 31st it carried away tho foretopmast, the wind at that timo being S.S.E. On the 3rd the wind shifted to E. She had strong wind and head sea tho remainder of tho passage, which occupied six days one hour. Tho Egmont is a fine new steamer of 401 tons gross, and 300 tons register ; was built by Henderson and Company, of Renfrew, with engines of 80-horse power; is brig-rigged, with straight stem, and is fitted up in a most beautiful stylo for fifty-two saloon, and fifty second-class passengers. Tho company intend placing her on the line between Auckland and Manukau. She will leave Auckland on the 17th of overy month, calling at Napier, Wellington, Picton, Pelorus, Nelson, Taranaki, and arriving at the Manukau on tho 29th. On her return she will leave Manukau on the 2nd of overy month. Tho Egmont not being under any Government contract for carrying mails, but entirely depondont on passengers and eargo for support, will call at any intermediate port should sufficient inducement offer.— Nelson Examiner. PORT OF ONEHUNGA. 19th April, 1865. Tho a.s. Ahuriri, Capt. Shnttloworth, steamed from off the White Bluff at 2-15 p.m. yesterday for Waingnngori. Capt. Spain and Capt. Cadoll have gone down by her. She takes a mail and despatches for the General. Tho s.s. Wellington, Capt. Francis, got over the Bar all right on Tuesday afternoon for the Southern ports. Tho s b. Wonga Wonga, Capt. Thompson, tried to cross the Bar on Tuesday afternoon, but had to return, and was laying at the Heads yesterday morning. The schooner Excelsior and the cutter Aquilla are still laying at tho Heads, wind-bound.
