ABOUT three-iourths of the £10 Shares in this undertaking havo already been subscribed for, and a considerable sum paid upon them. A steamer, in every respect suitable, will within a fevr days bo at work on the harbour, and will satisfactorily supply a want much felt. There can be no reason to doubt that a fair profit on the capital invested will bo obtained. At a General Meeting of the Shareholders, held on the 23rd ulto., it was resolved to increase the Capital, by tho issue of 3,000 new shares of one pound each. For those shares the Directors are now prepared to receive applications. THE object of tliis Society is to facilitate the acquisition of Freehold Property by its members, and to provide a means through which mortgages or other encumbrances on property already realized may bo paid off by easy instalments j or money, with which to build oh and imprcve land, obtained at a cheap rate of interest, and repaid in small sums. A meeting of Shnreholdois will be convened as soon as six hundred shares are subscribed for. The proposed rules will then bo submitted for confirmation, or correction, and the Officers of the Society appointed. Prospectus, Copy of Proposed Rules, and every information may bo obtained from the Acting Secretary, or from any of the Preliminary Committee.
