Henderson and Macfarlanc for a copy of the Sifilnci/ If era/J of the 27 th, and of late papers from Vancouver's Island The market reports will be found in another column. Our readers will remember that by the Claud Hamilton we received Melbourne papers to the 28th; the Adelaide and Melbourne telegrams have therefore been already published in this journal. We also gave at, that time short telegraphic extracts received from Sydney in Melbourne of the later American news, brought to Sydney via California. "VYc are now enabled to place it in full before OUI readers ; also an able article from the Jfcralif on iNew Zealand affairs, written in reference to Mr. Fitztrevald's letter to Mr. Adderley. The papers from Vancouver's sland show the wonderful effect the discovery of gold has in developing the resources and wealth of a country. So extended lias become the commerce of that till lately unknown island, that we notice the arrival and departure of vessels, numbers as many as from 10 to 1-5 per day.
