The plaintiff in this case, one of the constables at Papakura, summoned the defendant for illtreating his horse ; there was a second summons against him for furious riding. The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge of furious riding, he was fined £2 and costs ; and the second charge was withdrawn 011 his paying the costs. o'cOXNKLL V. LOMAX. This was a summons for house rent and repair of windows against .Lieutenant Lonmx, duo some time. The summons having been duiy served, and the defendant not appearing, judgment passed for plaintiff with costs. WM. JIIIIULEIMAS V. LIEUT. t.OMAX. This was a summons for £'J lis. 3d., being the balance of a grocery account. The debt being proved, judgment passed accordingly. I'YLE V. IVALKE. The plaintill in this case summoned the defendaut for i.'-i lis. (id., for meat and other aiticles. The defendant appeared and acknowledged the debt, but asked for 14 days to enable him to pay the amount. His Worship granted the time aslad.
