A meeting of tlie Provisional Committee was held yesterday i-.t'ternoon, in the rooms of the Chamber of Commerce, Port-street, at 4 o'clock, Mr. "Webster in the chair. Present—Slussrs. Coolalum, King, Macfarlaiie, Creighton, £ wanton, lackland, Dignan, Harris, Clark, lurth, H.Kidd, 11. Isaacs, "Wrigley. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.
Mr. liutu having brought forward the several resolutions proposed to he put to the public meeting this day, it was resolved that the sub-committee previously appointed be requested to embody the resolutions passed at this meeting into a report to present to this committee, at half-past 2 p.m. on Tues-
The TitEAsriiKii reported that he had received that day subscriptions to the amount of £120 7s, which, with the amount formeily subscribed, £335 ss, made tt total of £455 12s. Mr. j\I,UTAIiI,.\XE read a draft memorial to the Queen, which was adopted for presentation to the general meeting tin's day.
