The sinsirg of "Jl Palen " by Mr. "Wharton was perfect and elicited a raptxious (mure, \\hen the repetition was even an improvement on ihe first execution of tlit- air. On this occasion Oh ! gue la morte was »ivcn by Mr. Squires, in a manner to male us regret that it should have been omitted on the first representation. Jt was re-elemanded by the audience with loud demolishotions of approval. The whole opera went off with great spirit and eclat and the applause at the termination was most enthusiastic.
