PORT WAIKATO.
[FliOM OUlt OWN COniiESrOSDKNT.] 30th November, 18G4. Vessels in Port "Waikato ' Mary Thompson,' schooner, Capt. O'Connell, in ballast for Onchunsa; ' Daring,' schooner, Capt. Davies, do., do. Both these vessels expected to get over the Bar tonight. Tho ' Prince Alfred,' steamer, from Onehunga, arrived hero the same day with a large number of militiamen's wives and families. They havo been detained on board, owing to tho barges and steamers being unable to get down the river, it being so low. Last night, however, it was raining heavy showers here, causing tho river to rise considerably. The b.s. Sturt takes them to their destination this day, (Thursday).
The new steamer ' White Slave' lias taken hor first trip up tho rivor, with mails and passengers. The 14th Kegiment Waikato Head are under orders for Auckland, to be relioved by a detachment of the oOtli.
