QUEEN'S REDOUBT.
[I'ltOM OUK OWN CORRESPONDENT.] 29th November, 1804. A private named Pullen, belonging to the Commisariat Transport Corps, met with a eerioxts accident. ; it was stated that his dray lias parsed over his bod}*, but it was found that the unfortunate man had proceeded to Payor "Back -with the rations for the detachment of the 3rd Waikato Militia, stationed at that post: and on his return, when he arrived at Poleno, in front of !Mr. Fry's homo, the horses ran away -with him clown the road to the Bluff Stockade, and he wan unable to stop them until they arrived at a bridge which crosses a small ercek, close to a house at present occupied by Mr. Fitness. Here ho received sciine very severe kicks, which laid him senseless on the pound. In fact, the poor fellow's face was completely disfigured ; his nose being cut down the centre, his cheek laid open, and a severe scalp wound on the back of the head; happily none were mortal. Hie poor fellow is doing as well as can be 'expected under the serious nature of his wounds. Every attention was paid to him ; on the first information of the accident Stall-surgeon Nicholson was on the spot as soon as possible, and dressed his wounds. He was then brought up in an ambulance to the Queen's Kedotibf, where he now lies, but, as I said beloro, ho is progressing favourably.
