ARRIVAL OF THE KATE, FROM SYDNKY. Tho Auckland clipper Kate, in command of Capt. J. B. Sherlock, was signalled yesterday morning, and soon afterwards made her appearanco round the North Head, working up harbour in gallant style against a fierce westerly galo. She sailed from Sydney on the 12th instant, experiencing lialit S.K. and K. weather throughout; made tho land oil" Cape Brett on Thursday last, and was becalmed there all that day, but got a breeze in the evening,'which she carried up to her arrival in harbour at 2. p.m. yesterday. Tho Kate's manifest and passenger list will bo found olso where. Tho N.Z.S.N. Co.'s steamer Wonga Wonga, Capt. Thompson, left Auckland for Coromandel at 10.10 on Thursday, arriving at Coromandel at 3.35 p.m. same day ; left again at 0.30 a.m. yesterday, and anchored off the wharf at 4 p.m., having had a .strong westerly gale all the way. Sho brings tho tollowing passonerors: —Mrs. Tierce and family; Messrs. Cochrane, Boman, Moore, Boutel, Burns, Fanton, McLellan, and Master Keven.

The schooner Sylph and Sea Breeze, from Russrll, Kiwi, from llokianga; and Ivanhoe,'from Mongonui, all arrived yesterday morning. They have no reports ofinterest. The barque Ellen Simpson, for Newcastle, N.S.A\ ~ and s.s. Susannah Cutbert. for I'ort cleared at the Customs yesterday, and sail this morning. The barque Alfred and ship Junima, also sail thi* day. The schooner Irene entered outwards ior Tahiti yesterday.
