COMMITTEES ON PRIVATE lirplM'SS, The Hon Mr. Skwei.j.'s motions for— "The appointment of a joint committee on private bills, to consist of the lien. Dr. I'uchanan and the lion. Sir. Cut field," "The appointment of a .joint committee on standing orders on private hills, to consist of the lion. Mr. Tanered, tho hon. Mr. Whitaker, and the lion. Mr. Stokes," "'1 he appointment of a committee of si-lection of private bills, to consist of the lion. .Major liichmond, C.R., lion. Mr. .Leslie Lee, lion. Mr. Crawford, lion. Colonel Russell, and hon. Dr. Buchanan," were put and carried. COMMITTEES o.V I'VIiUC BUSINESS. The hon. Major Richmond, C.H., moved "That the Library ami Printing Commit ee for the session do consist of the lion. Mr. Whitaker, the hon. Mr. Tanered, the lion. Colonel Russell, the hon. ill - . Swainson, and the mover." Carried. The hon. Mr. Ci'TiMELi) moved, "That the following members of this Council form a House committee, to meet a committee of the House of Representatives :— Hon. Mr. Crawford and hon. Mr. Watt.- Russell." Carried. THE MIXIHTKKIAI. XTATKMEXT. In reply to an enquiry from the lion. Mr. Sewei.l. Hon. Mr. ILu.l said he was not aware of anv reason to prevent the statement of the new Ministry being brought up on Monday. The Council then adjourned until two o'clock on Monday.
