Thq Gazelle, Capt. -Cheshire, arrived in harbour lrotn Kaipara, yesterday morning, bringing, a cargo of timber. She sailed on Friday last, and had fine weather throughout. The Gazelle, is a fine cutter, of 2o tons, recently launched from the building yard of Mr. Hutchinson, The schooner, Fair}-, arrived in harbour, from Mongonui jyeeterday morning.
The schooner Soa Breeze came up from tho Tam.iki yesterday morning, and will leave again for Russell this afternoon. Tho.brig Reliance, and schooner Ceres, both'sailed for Dunodin yesterday. Tho schooner Tnwcra, lately Arrived from Poverty Bay, is at present on tho slip at tho North Shore, undergoing an overhaul. Thes.s. Queen, Onpt. Collcm, is due from Napier and tho South on Wednesday next, tho 9th inst., Tho brig Frealc, Captain C. .T. Sutton, left Newccstle on the littli iriafant, and had strong N. If. ! crales fhronghout. tho passage. Made tho land on I Monday hist, anchored otr the Gulf on Thursday night", and arrived in harbour yesterday afternoon. She brings a cargo of coals for Messrs. Henderson and Macfarlane. The brigantinc Express, 159 tons, Cnplain Hyde, sailed from Newcastle for this port on the 21th inst., with 237 tons coals. Tho schooner Nymph of the Seas cleared yes'erday for Christehurch, with a full cargo, and sails this morning. The brigantine Eclipse sails at daylight this morning for Tauranga, tailing her original cargo of cattle from Tort Albert;. From Tauranga she proceeds on to Newcastle. The barque Kate, Captain Sherlock, arrived in Sydney from this port on the nisjlit of the 2-ltli ldt., and was to sail usnin witli despatch. Tho bnrque .Albert, Captain Ilolkins, arrived at Newcastle from this port on tlio 25th ult., and tho schooner Amateur, from Tauranga, also arrived the sumo day. The barque Chance sails for Newcastle this morning early. The I.C.R.M. Co.'s s.s. Auckland was to sail from Melbourne for this port on tho Ist instant, and is due hcxe about tlie 91 h. The barque Ellen Simpson was positively announced to lenvc tho Melbourne wharf for Auckland on the 22nd ult. The brig Princo Edward, Captain 11. T. Anderson, arrived at Newcastle from this port on the ltith ultimo. A schooner was signalled last evening at duck, Imt had not arrived in harbour at u late hour. She is supposed to be the Express, from Newcastle, with coals.
