Ho won tin: first prize at the Society's show at Campbell Town, 1861, for the best imported draft stallionin the colony; and he won the same prize in the Society's show, held at Longford, in ISG2. Tho " Prince" is a beautiful black, • stands 16, V hands high, has splendid action, and beautiful proportion. : Ho was bred by Robert Hutchison, Esq., of Cmigsland, Dundonnld, Ayrshire, Scotland.; sire, the celebrated Clydesdale "Prince Albert;" graudsire, " Fulton's Clyde ;" great grandsire, Frame's " Old Champion." Dam, by " Clydesdale's Rival." He was selected (after winning, at three years old, one first and tlireo second prizes) and imported to Victoria, where lie won two champion cups and two gold medals, besides several local prizes. He served three •seasons most successfully in Victoria, his stock proving him one of tho best sires ever imported to tho colonien. The " Prince" will stand at the Junction Hotel on "Wednesday and Saturday; at Otahuhu, on Tuesday and Friday; and Panmur'e, oh Monday and Thursday in each week. " Iron Dnko " is a dark grey or brown, stands 17 hands high, bred by Mr. Towsliend, of Stoney Staunton, nearly Hinckley,England; sire, "King Charles," dam, " Flora," which took the second prize at the l.oval Agricultural Society's Exhibition at Shrewsbury, anu tho first prize at the Northampton Exhibition of the same society, as well as at the Provincial Exhibition of Leicester, Rugby, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, and Hinckley. Her first foal "The Black Prince," (half-brotherto the " Iron-Duke") at three years old took the first prize for drnv horses at the Royal Agricidtural Society's Exhibition at York, and in the same year ho won the Highland Agricultural Society's Silver Medal at Edinburgh. "Iron Duke" was exhibited and won the first prize at the meeting of the Leicester Agricultural Society, against all horses, when hardly two yean old. He won the prize for the best imported heavy drait horse at Maitland, in New South Wales. " Iron Duke" will stand this season at the Junction Hotel, on Monday and Thursday; Otahuhu, "Wednesday and Snturduy ; and Panmure, on Tuesday and Friday in each week. Mares not proving in foal to the "Duke" from last year wiil have services Jliis year at half-price, and if put to either " Major" or " Prince" will be allowed £2 at the time of payment. " Matchless" was shown at the Peterborough Agricultural Show when a yearling, and obtained the lirst, prize, beating five others ; he also was shown at. Peterborough Entire Horse Show, and obtained the prize. Again, at Peterborough, in ISG2, he took the prize, beating six others; and again, at Peterborough, in October 18G3, ho took the first prize of £_U, beating a large field ot his class—thus proving himself to bo one of the be;t horses that England can produce.
