The men composing the detachments have all completed their instruction in surveying and sapping and mining at head-quarters, and are ready to take the Held immediately on their arrival in New Zealand. Tho vessel in which the lloyal Kngineers proceed to New Zealand will take out a large supply of war materiel, a id tapping and mining stores and appliances.

In addition to the above detachment selected for service in New Zealand, a further number of sappors and miners weio on Tuesday selectod from tho companies at head-quarters, Chatham, in accordance with <hstrtlctions from the Horse Guards, and placed under orders to embark for the colony as soon as the necessary amount of tonnage lias been taken tip for them by the Government.

Deputy-Assistant-Commissary-General Fuller is under orders tor Gibraltar, to relieve Deputy-Assist-ant-Qonirmssarv-Genoral Armstrong, who embarks for Nev> Zealand.
