ONEHUNGA POLICE COURT.
"Wednesday. (Before Captain Symonds, 8.M.) John Bclsher was charged by Isabella ]. el slier, his wife, with having deserted lier and leaving her in a destitute condition since the month of .April last. The evidence of Mrs. Bclsher went to show that her husband left her on tlie 13ili -April last, and that she liad not seen or heard ol bint since that fhne. She also called her daughter and sor.-in-law with whom she had been living, to prove that she bad tioi received anything from her husband towards her support. Bis "Worship advised- the defendant to make some arrangement with his wife for supporting her, but the defendant manifesting an unwillingness to do so, was fined £5, and ordered to pay his wife the sum of 15s. per week.
