Tho police aro still in pursuit of the bushrangers, who are hard pressed, llall and Dunleavy aro re-, ported to bo suffering severely from their wounds. After tho capturo ef their horses by the police, llall and his mates proceeded on foot to Mr. Gibson's station, where they dressed their wounds, and took three fresh horses. Spring weather, and : o ids improving. Flour is getting lower in price. September 1. A repoit has bcon received in Forbes from Murga, that a party of miners have struck gold in shallow ground upon a hill behind tho Murga Inn. The .gold is said to bo in sufficient quantities to pay £8 per week per man. It is not yet known whether the rich ground is merely a patch, or whether it extends over a considerable area. There is no definite news of tho bushrangers, except that they are still at large. It is believed that they aro harboured in a certain quarter by a number of their friends, whoso scouts aro continually on the look-out for the police. BATHURST. September 1. At the Gilmandyko diggings, on Tuesday, two bushrangers attacked the dwelling of some Chinese, who, however, resisted them ; several shots wore exchanged without doing any mischief. A Chinaninn rushed at one of tho robbers with a spade, and fulled him to the ground, when ho was at once secured. The other bushranger mado off, and though pursued for some distance by the Chineso, effected his escape. The wounded robber lias been brought into ISalhurst, and now lies in hospital. GOULBURN. September 1. News has just reached hero that Mr. F. Giles' station Vairanoo, at Binds, was stuck up on Monday evening by two armed men, with veiled faces. '1 here was no one in the house at tho time but the overseer's wife and child. Tho robbers knockcd the woman down, and stole her ring fioni her finger, and then took a quantity of Hour, salt heel', and clothing. This is the second "time this station has been robbed within a short time. A man named Cramp has been apprehended on suspicion of being concerned in this outrage. BATIIUEST. Monday sth. Tho young bushranger John Clayton, who was shot by the Chinaman at the Gilmandyko, died on Saturday night. A magisterial enquiry was held to-day. Deceased was identified as ono ot the two men who robbed some Chinese a fortnight ago, about eight miles from tho scene ot the late encounter.

In tho Supremo Court their Honors gavo judgment to-day in tho Moonta case. Tho writ of ncirc facias is quashed with cost. Their Honors, Judgeß G Wynne anil Boothby, took the ground that the mineral leaf esgianted toH ughes, Stirling, and others, were not instruments of record upon which a writ of scire facias could lie, and they consequently gavo judgment that tho l iili nisi should bo mado absolute. ainrth.it the writ be quashed with costs.
