The Eev. Mr. Spurgcon lias been known to receive as many us 400 letters in ii day. Host of them are anonymous, and on many the postage is not prepaid, 'l'he rev. gentleman now refuses till the latter. One of these, a short time ago, alter having been in the dead letter ollieo and opened there, was sent again to J!r. Spurgcon with a statement that tlie letter was anonymous, and therefore coulil not be leturned to the writer, and that it contained a valuable enclosure. The rev. gentleman paid the postage, »mtl found a £20 note in the letter.
