TO CORRESPONDENTS.
AVe thank " Well-wisher'' for his letter, but must decline its publication. The public have already decided between the relative merits of tho two papers, and that decision is every day becoming more unmistakeable. So long as we retain the good opinion of the public, we earo nothing for {he affected neglect of a rival journal. If that cotemporary had earlier rc-solved to act- as lie lias promised! in the last portion of his yesterday's personal attack on us to do, he would have saved himself the infliction of the disagreeable truths under which ho appears to have winced so sorely. "SVk are not aware that the person who sent us an indignant letter last night has a character to lose, lie is unite at liberty to resort to any nie;isures ho may think proper to take. u
