We take the following from the " Evening Bulletin" of tiie ISth April, respecting the state of the crops and stocks of breadstiUi's in California:— Our advices from the interior regarding the growing crops lire conflicting in the extreme: still the •weight oi testimony is sutlieient to nssuro us in believing Unit, without ;m export demand for a year to come, wheat and other grains must rule low ; consequently it is impolitic for our farmers to crowd prices up beyond a fair export value. Sonic parties are looking for an active export demand for our bread-stuffs lor shipment to Australia, but in this they will be disappointed. Ist. Chilli is nearer, and can supply their wants earlier and cheaper than we can. '2nd. The news of u rise in Australian markets, referred to by us yesterday, had been previously received here by telegram from TVe\v York via .England, and hilly acted upon several weeks since. 3rd. The rise in values hove is far greater than in Australia, consequently the bulk of orders sent here cannot he executed at present lutes for Hour and wlieat.
