Sales irir Ruction. SATURDAY, JULY 9, 1864. POKENO ! POKENO ! (By order of tlio Mortgagee.) JONES & CO. Have received instructions to aell by auction, at Brunswick Buildings, on SATURDAY, tho 9th July, at 12 o'clock sharp, NUMBER OF VALUABLE BUILDINGALLOTMENTS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF POKENO, reserved at tho last sale of Pokono by the owner, as being tho best and most valuable business sites in tho township. 6 very valuable allotments in Sec. 41 of Township of Pokeno, adjoining the Queen's Redoubt, and fronting Brown-street and the Great South Road. 2 very valuable Allotments opposito corner of Brown-atreet and tho Great South Road. That piece of land upon which the Queen's Redoubt stands. It commands 546 feet frontage to the Great South Road, from which it has a depth of 25 feet to the dit cli—tho ditch ia 1G feet wide—after whioli it has a depth of 48 yards from the bastion on tho west side, and about 11 yards on the east. About £2,500 worth of property belonging to Government has been erected on this piece of land, and 3 years' arrears of rent are due for occupation. A piece of reserved land, containing about 2 acres, fronting the Great South Road and Grey-street, and opposite the Queen's Redoubt. This reserve has a frontage of about 118 feet to the Great South Road, by nearly a quarter mile in depth, and is bounded on two sides by the Creek. The frontago of this reserve will be sold together with Mr. M'Lean'a Canteen, (72 feet by 16 feet,) which stands upon this allotment, close to the bridgo over the creek, fronting the Great South Road. Tho Canteen is substantially built of slabs and shingled, and cost over £100. This is a most desirable site for business, as ilio whole traffic must- pass hero. Tho proprietor lias been repeatedly asked to let it for business purposes, and even for stabling £2 a "week was offered as rent for it. Allotment in. Grey- street, 33 feet by a depth to Wliiora Creek. 1 Tho allotments in tho next, block to Grey-street fronting the same road, realised at tho last salo of land at Pokono 18s. per foot. A piece of reserved land, containing about an aero situated at the end of Ford-street, bounded by tho Wliiora Creek, and on which tliero is suflicient wator power to drive a mill. Also The very valuable property adjoining tho township. The Great South Road intersects and divides this property throughout into 4 sections or small farms, viz. •• — The Ist lot will be the Homosteud, House containing 10 rooms, with outhouses, Sitockyard, Piggeries, Fowl Houses, &c., and about 200 slabs sawn in tho yard, and ready to put up a stable. The House is admirably adapted for a ISusli Hotel, or House of Accommodation. Tho Land to bo sold with tho House comprises about 8 acres, well fenccd, ;md commanding a frontage to the Great South Road of 150 yards. [ It ia divided into Garden and Orchard, a nevor- | failing Creek running through it, and planted with choice Peach and other Fruit Trees. Lot 2 is a Triangular Paddock, fenced in, and next to Homestead Garden: it contains about 20 acres, and has a frontage of a J milo to Great South Road, eitanding as far as the junction of the Havelock and Great South Road. Lot 3 commences from the west side of Pokonostreet, and Ilis a large frontage to tho Great South Road containing about 28 acres. Lot 4 has a largo frontago to the Great South Read and Havelock Road: it contains about 15 acres. Capitalists, look at tho extent of frontago this property commands to tho Great South Road. In a fow years the value will have increased 500 fold. This truly valuable property has now to bo sold under diitresring circumstances, and it is to be earnestly hoped that public competition -will prevent so really a valuable property being sacrificed.
