A Cafk or Sat.vagtt.—The passengers of the Countess of Seafiel-1, which arrived at this port on Saturday last, in a very disabled condition, and with the loss of no less than nine able seamen and One passenger, intend to claim salvage on that vessel, and affidavits are, we understand, Ivin;; drawn up, to he forwarded to Lloyd's on the subject. .From what we hear, there seems to bo little doubt, of the justness of their claim, and of its being likely to be ijrautod. CaPTCIvK Of A BIoCKADK RvNNF.iI. The blockade runner, double-screw iron steamer Don, (.'apt. Fred. Cory, fivo days from Nassau, N.P., for "\\ r ilmiiijrt< »n, N.C., witli n cargo of annv blankets, dry goods, iVc., was captured on the 4th March by the Vefpint, Federal steamer. A correspondent says :—"At -ID minutes after nine a black smoke whs sighted from the masthead, stud the Peqtiot was at onco headed for it. Wo soon made out a lead coloured steamer with on? mast steering southerly. As soon as wo were descried from tlio Don she was headed from. us, giving' us a stern chase and manoeuvring to got. to windward. We however, pained on her rapidly, and when about a mile from her sent a shot from our forecastle pun acrrss her bow, to which she paid no attention, We then sent, a shot ahead of her and another over her; but still keeping on her course we cave her a broadside, which scattered through her rigging without doing her any serious damage, when she lowcrnl her colours (English ensign), and rounded to towavds us. Two armed boats were sent, in charge of Acting Ensigns George Lamb and Win. I''. Chase, to board and take possession of her. Iler papers had been thrown overboard, and her Captain acknowledged to be a blockado-runner. The Don is the sister ship to the Dee, lately run on the beach and destroyed. She is a tine vessel, built at London last .Tune, 21! tuns British register, has four engines of 120-horso power each, driving two screw propellers. The vessel wn» built expressly for blockade-running purposes, and is thought to have cost about U2:(,00(l, equal, at present rates, to 185,00U dols. Iter Captain, Oilin-rs, and Crew are all, or nearly ail, Englishmen, ai.d aie a fine looking set of men. The Don ha■> cleared nine times for Wilmington, but has succeeded in Kettiii" in only four times, having had to return to Nassau or Bermuda on the other trips with her original cargo. Captain Cory reports that he found blockaders so plentiful on approaching New Inlet that he was obli-
