She sailed on the 28th ultimo, and for the first part experienced strong Southerly winds, afterwards fine light weather to the Three Kings, which she made on Saturday last. On Sunday night experienced a hard Mow from the N.E., aecompai.i, <1 by tliiek rainy weather. A barque, steering for this port, was sighted off the Poor Knights on Sunday ' evening. The Aleeta brings a cargo of cattle aial sheep, in excellent condition, and with but small loss ; they are consigned to Messrs. A. h. Thompson . A; Co. She is also the bearer of our latest Australian I intelligence, particulars of which will be found elsewhere. The Tahitian brig Papeete, C'npt. Ladewig, arrived in harbour yesterday morning from Tahiti via ltorotonga, -I-) days out. She experienced light and contrary winds as far as Itorotor.ga, where she touched 25 days since. I'pon having that place a strong S. E. trade was caught, but lasted only three days, when it fell light and ballling, continuing so until reaching this coast. The first land sighted was the Great Barrier on Saturday last. Sighted a barque la.-t Tuesday week, apparently bound to this port. The Papeete brings a cargo of oranges, &0., in excellent condition, also two passengers —.Mr. and Mrs. Hort. H.M.S.S. Cnraeoa and H.M.S.S. Eclipse left for Sydney yesterday morning. The ship Adelaide Pell, Capt. Barnes, leaves for Sydney again on Thursday next. The Dutch barque Baron Van Pallandt V;in i Bosendale, Capt. lJoogenstraalen, sails for Batavia this afternoon. The schooner Zillah, Capt. Sullivan, arrived "from Napier via the coast yesterday morning. The s.s. "Wonga "Wonga, Capt Ccllem, leaves the Manukatt for the South tin's morning, and the s. s. Airedale, Capt. I'erguson. to-morrow. 'The schooner Neva, Capt. Marshall, cleared for Sydney yesterday, mid sails this morning early. ' The barque Chance, Capt. Pale, hauled from the "Wharf into the stream last night, and leaves for < Newcastle this morning. Her berth will be taken up by the Duke of liothsay. The only vessels on the berth at Sydney r or this port at the date of last advices (2(ith ult.,) were the barques Alice Cameron and Charlotte Andrews. Tlu; brig Spray was advertised as loading for tlio Manakau. 'The schooner Sea Breeze, Capt. Wheeler, leaves for Kussell, ibis evening. The brig Maggie, Capt.
