FORCIBLE ABDUCATION OF A YOUNG LADY AT WARSAW.

Two liussiaii olliecrs having teen Jliss Neumann, a young laily famous for 1i,.-r beauty, and nut having succeeded in obtaining access to her, determined to carry her uif by force of arms. Ono night these gentlemen [•<«•] alter .sunimoniiig several policemen who veie stationed in the street to their aid, entered the houseon the pretext of searching for insurgents, and seized Miss Neumann, who is the sister of the owner. No one knows what lias become of her since, not even the Director of the City Police, Tripoli'. It will bo easily conceived tliat such an event has produced an indecribable sensation here, No oue is safe against this species of violence, and all are exposed ;tt ;inv time to see their wives or daughters tuUcii from their houses at night on some imaginary charge. This is, however, but as ii natural consequence ot tho ivt/ime introduced by (Jenoral lierg, w>lo lias outraged "all the rights of humanity by driving from their homes, and sending to banishment, the most worthy and respecta.l.'ta ladies in tho citv, whoso only crime is that they aw Poles."
