MASONIC.

Tun Naval and Military Masonic Lodge was opened last night at the Masonic Hotel. We are informed that there was a large attendance of the brethren belonging to the Lodge, as well as a great number of visiting brethren from the three elder Lodges now in existence in Auckland. We wish the new Lodge every succcss, and no doubt the brethren belonging to the army and navy w ill be happy to know that there is such a Lodge formed in this city. The first Masonic Lodge ever opened in the Australian colonies (N>. 2<io, 1.C.) obtained its dispensation from a regiment then stutioned in Svdnev. l-'ivin ilii.- ihe oldest of the Auckland' Lodges, the Aia. goL its dispensation in 18-12. We arc happy to say that all the Masonic bodges in Auckland are increasing the numbers of their members, and we hope soon to see them holding their meetings in a handsome and commodious Hall of their own.
