PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE.
Yesteeday evening, as we expected, the Prince of Wales Theatre was well attended, the nautical drama of Black Eyed Susan, which was excellently played on Saturday evening, being again produced last night by particular desire. Amongst the company, we noticed Commodoro Sir William Wiseman, Bart., and several oifieers of both services, the "Ocean Warriors," occupying a considerable portion of the back seats. The play was performed with great spirit and we are glad to see that Mr. Hurry's efforts to amuse the people of Auckland arc so fully appreciated. Ihe acting of Miss Fanny Young in the farce of Hunting a Turtle, was much admired, as was also that of Mr. Barry in the part of William in the first piece. There is, however, one fault we have to find with the Prince oi' Wales Theatre, and that may easily be remedied—the prohibition against smoking is nob strictly enforced. We- perceive by the bills that Othello is in rehearsal. There will doubtless be a crowded house to witness one of Shakspeare's best plays, and we wish the spirited managers every success. The Hunchback and Good-for-jS' othing will be played this evening.
