Tin; announcement that Tnngatn Ware Twitia, convicted of the murder of Jlv. Draomgould. has been reprieved by liis Kxcellency the Governor will wo believe be received with general satisfaction by the Auckland public. There has been a general feelini; that, the clemency of the Crown inii;hl fairlv be exercised in this case, that the prisoner was Lntilty rather of homicide than of murder. AYe learn that the reprieve was sent down to the Stockade on Tuesday night, and that the sentence of death has been commuted to that of imprisonment for life.
