There was a large muster of horses at the Haymarket on Saturday hist, the greater part of which was disposed of, but at lower rates than those of the previous week. They were generally of an inferior description. In the cattle market, tho transactions lmro been of a very limited character, consequent on the proclamation. Store cuttle have not been brought forward for sale, and, if offered, Australian imported cattle in low condition would scarcely find a purchaser. The fat stock brought forward has barely supplied present requirements, and prices were higher—from 20s to 40s per head. Tho number of fat cattle in the hands of the graziers is not large, and higher rates may be reckoned on. But few store slice]) have been offered at the auction. Those have advanced in price from Is to 3s per head, and there is a steady cnmiiry for halfbred ewes for breeding purposes. Merino wethers in fresh condition hare brought privately 23s 6d each. Tho fat sheep market was fairly supplied with animals of choice quality. Lambs sold at high rates — 2Ss to 30s each—and the sheep were 2s. per head higher than last week. Dairy amp Store Cattle.- —Tn these classes tho market was but sparingly furnished, owing to an agitation and consequent government regulations, on the subieet of pleuro-pneumonia, said to have appeared in this Province. Rates did not appear to have been affected. We fold dairy cow:; at £12 Ss. to £19 55., and a lot of steers at £10. Store Sheet.— I The only lot exhibited was withdrawn at 2Cs.
