The whole of the foregoing Services to be preformed to tho satisfaction of the Head of tho Department concerned or person acting in his stead. Any information connected with the Contracts together with particulars of items to be tendered for and conditions, will bo afforded on application, at the office of the Purveyor, Barrack Master, and Assistant Superintendent of Stores, either at Auckland or Otahuhu. The Contractor will be required to provide such assistance in loading and unloading as is actually given by watermen, including the use of cranes and such number of boats as may be demanded, failing which, the power of hiring on account of the Contractor will rest with the Commissariat. The Contractors will be required to receive and deliver all stores, &c., &c., from and to the Carts, and from and into the Commissariat Stores or Wharves at Onehunga and Drury. Articles lost or damaged when in the possession oi the Contractor to be paid for. The boats will be required to sail from Onehunga or Papakura, Drury and rice versa whenever directed by the Commissariat. It shall be in the power of either party to these Contracts to terminate the same by giving to the other three calendar months' notice of the same in writing, such notice shall not be considered valid unless given on the first day of a month, and within tho period for which the Contract is made. Forms of tender and any information may be obtained at this office. No form of tenders will be issued after noon of Tuesday, the 2nd proximo. Tenders on the printed form must be properly filled up, signed and delivered in duplicate at thu office under a sealed envelope, marked on tho outsidt " Tender for ," and no tenders will be noticed unless made on them forms. On the production of the Contractor's Account or the prescribed form with tho requisite vouchers in a complete state he will be paid the whole amount in one bill upon the Lord Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury at par, when it exceeds £50, wlier under that sum, payment will be made in coin, Contractors will have no right to claim payment oi their accounts within ten days after tho closo of the month.
