The Contractor will be required to provide such assistance in loading and unloading as is actually given by watermen, including the use of cranes and such number of boats as may be demanded, failing which, the power of hiring on account of the Contractor will rest with tho Commissariat. The Contiactors will be required to receive and deliver all stores, &c., &c., from and to the Carts, and from and into the Commissariat Stores or Wharves at Onehunga and Drury. Articles lost or damaged when in the possession of the Contractor to be paid for. The boats will lie required to sail from Onehunga or Papakura, Drury and rice versa whenever directed by the Commissariat. It shall be in the power of either party to these Contracts to terminate the same by giving to the other three calendar months' notice of the same in ■writing, such notice shall not be considered valid unless given on the first day of a month, and within the period for wliich the Contract is made. Forms of tender and any information may be obtained at this office. No form of tenders will be issued after noon of Tuesday, the 2nd proximo. Tenders on the printed form must lie properly filled up, signed and delivered in duplicate at this office under a sealed envelope, marked on the outside " Tender for ," and no tenders will be noticed unless made on these forms. On the production of the Contractor's Account on the prescribed form with tho requisite vouchers in a complete state he will be paid the whole amount in one bill upon the Lord Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury at par, when it exceeds £50, when tinder that suin, payment will he made in coin.
