The property in Howiok sold by Mr. Joseph Cochrane yesterday, at his market, realized as follows :—Lots 58 and 59 in Howe-street, fetched £50, and the suburban lot of live acres brought £8 per acre.
Yesterday Mr. S. Cochrano held an extensive sale of groceries, ex 'Bombay.' The larger portion of the things advertised were not sold, owing to their not being landed ; the tomato ketchup 6s. 9d. per doz. ; sultana raisins, 7£d. per lb.; dried apples, do.; orange peel, Is. Gjd.; patent barley, 7s. ; Jamaica ginger, Is. per lb.; Wiltshire cheese, Is. 3*d. . pine do., Is. 4d.; Glo'ster do., Is. 3id.; Cheshire do., Is. 5 id. per lb. ; thumb blue, 9 |<1.; mustard, 3s. 6d. to Gs. ; oatmeal, 3,jd. ; York hams, Is. 4|-d. ; Cumberland do., Is. 4d. ; salad oil, 9s. 9d. to 13s. 3d.; table vinegar, 95.; vermicelli, G£d.; pearl sago, 6d.; maccoroni, (>Vd.; starch, »|d.; lemonado powders, 75.; ginger beer do., 7s. ; eeidlitz do., 75.; Lochfme herrings, 9s. ; sardines, Bs. 3d. to 13s. 3d. ; essences, 10s. 6d. to 145.; sauces, 14s. to 15s. ; currie powder, 9s. 6d. to 15s. 6d.; mixed spices, 2s. 2d.; do. bottle, 14s.
