Aixkl.isp Mrsstox -\xi> Ragged Schooi.. —- A short time since we placed before our readers an account of the pecuniary position of tins and its cirtims jipon the support ot the inhabitants ol the citv as a work of great public usefulness. The building, a small hired tenement in Durham-street, in which the school is now carried 011, is utterly inadequate to the pin-pose—the children being already so much overcrowded as to render it not only, we should think, unhealthy for them, but very materially to interfere with the preservation of that necessary discipline which is so peculiarly essential to the effective working of an institution of this character, wliile manyare doubtless unable to participate in its benefits from the want of room to receive them. _ A. suitable site has been provided on the opposite side of the street, and the cost of the proposed building, 11 plain but roomv and substantial one, suited for the accommodation of schools for either sex, is estimated at £100. Since we drew attention to the matter we are happy to see that subscriptions to the amount ot nearly £100 have been received. There is still much more to be collected before the work can be commenced, and we therefore state for the information of the benevolent public that further subscriptions will be received W -Mr. Tarty, Queen-street; Mr. Law, Parnell • Mr! Do Wolfe, Newton ; or at the Mission School itself, Durham-street, where all "who arc curious to see the present working of Lhc institution, will meet with the civil attention of its superintendent.
