In the Colonial Defence Force, Sub-inspector M. Noaketo be Inspector. The resignationsof Lieut. ITazlewood Jones and Lieut. George Holdcn, Auckland Militia, have been accepted and the commission held by Captain Alfred John Austin of that force cancclled. Yesterday evening, in the House of Representatives, some little discussion took place on the question of paying members 20s, per head per diem during the session, which was ultinmf ely agreed to. Nearly an hour was spent in a discussion how to save time —and the Houso resolved itself into committee for the consideration of the Representation Act Amendment Bill. St. Matthew's Bazaar.—The bazaar in aid of the building fund of St. Matthew's Church, which has been postponed on account of the disturbed state of the country, will, wo perceive, be held on Wednesday and Thursday, the 9th and 10th of December next, before which time the ladies of the Committee hope to receive full contributions of fancy goods. Auckland Rifle Volunteers.—Until further notice it lias been ordered that the parades of the members of this corps shall take place twice a-week, 011 Tuesday and Friday mornings, at half-past, six o'clock.
