Robertson & Co.'s report:— Since the publication of our last report, we regret to say that many will have had cause to regret their | shipments to this colony ; but at the same time to a ; certain extent, we must confess we have not been surprised. If our friends would only take the trouble to | refer to our advice, repeated in almost every eireulaj for the last six months, they will find that we especi- | ally warned them against shipping any but really good horses, whereas too many which have arrived up to the present moment have been inferior draught or hacks. We, therefore, repent that which we have already so often endeavoured to impress upon shippers —viz., that no horses will pay tl;e. great expense of freight and charges, together with i'.n average to cover loss, except really goo 1 draught or superior hacks and these, there can be no doubt, will for the whole of this season command lair prices. We quote sales during the last month as follows:— Very superior draught horses, demand not great, £75 to £0U i good second-class draught horses, £50 to £05; Light harness horses, £'30 to £50; superior hacks (good weight carriers.) still in good demand, . £10 to £GO. Working Bullocks.—There has been a very excellent sale for good well-broken bullocks during tlio last month, but to a great extent this demand is now satisfied, and we do ii..t think we could fa.riv quote ' them at more than £15 to £'55 per pair, awarding to frame, although we have sold as high as ~00 aud£o-< ' 10s. . . Cattle—The demand for all desenpl ions is uowreiy »ood, and particularly for Kleers from three years old, which we quote at, £12 to £l<i. lb" - . iul store and mileh eowfl have realized in our j.jJ- ' this last week very remunerative price*. ]<VJ.
