[The following appeared in a Second' Edition of the 11 Kit a ld yesterday morninfjPj Tit;-: steam ship ' Auckland,' Captain Gibson, with the September mail, arrived from Sydney this morning at -i o'clock. The gist of the news we give below. Europe appears to be convulsed throughout her length and breadth. Russia declines further mediation on the all'airs of Poland. Denmark and Germany arc iil at ease with each other. France and the Federals of Amcrica arc menacing each other. Canada is again threatened with invasion. The Confederates so far from being exhausted are declared to be in higher feather than ever. In a word, everywhere " the times are out of joint"—and from pole to pole, war and bloodshed are the universal topics. The Auckland Loan is all 1 alien up. _ Adelaide, 6 p.m. The A. S. X. Company's steamer Rangatira arrived at Glenelg Pier at 4 p.m. to-day, having made the passage from King George's Sound in 99 hours. The P. and O. steamer Nortlnim arrived at the Sound at 1 p.m. oil the Bth instant, from On lie the 2 1-th October. The delay in her arrival was caused by an accident to the machinery of the steamer * Poovali.' also by the stoppage of the railwav fraille consequent on the overflowing of (he Nile, by which it will bo somewhat impeded for the next four months.
