New potatoes are coining in, very good, and tlie quantity for tlie season better than was expected. The priccsj according to sample, was from 11 to 22b. per cwt. •" Hat.—J. Ecnton, salesman, reports: The supply, although not large, continues abundant for the demand. Sales arc dull, prices; without alteration, ranging from £4 to £7 ; straw, £3 15. The Mills. —Carlton Flour Mills: The flour market continues very quiet, and prices have a down-, ward tendency, Silk-dressed is quoted at £14 per ton; bran, Is. 6d. per bushel, pollard, Is, 7d. per bushel; wheat purchased at ss. 3d. to ss. 6d. per bushel. Aitken's Mills: Flour, silk-dressed, £14 per lon j bran, Is. sd. to Is. (id. per huslwl; pollard, Is. 6a. to Is. 9d.; wheat, no transactions. Hadley's Mills : The markets rather dull. Flour, £13 10 to £13 15 per ton ; bran, Is. Gd. per bushel; pollard, Is. Bd. ditto, wheat, Warraauibool, from os. 4d. to ss. 6d. ditto; Adelaide wheat, 6s. ditto. Plenty wheat offering. Labor Maiiket.—Altogether tlie labour market is in a very dull state, and large numbers of all classes of male and female servants are out of employment, and much distress prevails.
ADELAIDE.—Not. 4. Flour, £12 10s. to £13; wheat, ss. 3d. Several' thousand bu3liels -were sold. The remaining cargo of the ' Alert' was sold at former prices.
