BETHUNE AND' HUNTER are instructed to sell by auction, at the Exchange, Te Aro, (to follow Mr. Wade's sale,)' on Wednesday,.26th January, 1842, SUBDIVIDED INTO FIVE ACRE LOTS, that section of land, being No. 1 on the Sur-veyor-General's Plan, in the, RICH AND FERTILE DISTRICT OF MAKARA, distant only about eight miles from town, and where there is already a good road by the Surveyors line's. The' district of Makara is universally allowed to be decidedly one of the richest in which country lands have yet been given out; and this section possesses many valuable attractions, watered by two large and beautiful streams, and having from FORTY TO FIFTY ACRES CLEARED AND READY FOR THE PLOUGH, being at present over-run with turnips and native cabbage, which testifies sufficiently to the richness of the soil ; its fertility challenges comparison with any section in the Port Nicholson block.
