March 17, barque Lady Nugent, Capt. Santry, commander, from London; having left the Downs on the 25th of Octoher. Passengers — Mr. Halswell and son, Mr. and Mrs. France, Mr. and Mrs. Dunn, Messrs. Lowther, Wathen, Pool, Turner, Milne, Allan, Greenwood, and Young. Surgeon, Mr. Hillier; and 238 in the steerage. SAILED. March 14, schooner Black Joke, for Cloudy Bay. March 16, a small schooner, with sundries, for Wanganui. March 19, schooner Curlew, Dunning, for the Thames. Passenger — Mr. Lucett. IN PORT. Brig Ullswater, Gibson. Schooner Jewess, Moore. Jane, Williams. r— Dolphin, Madeira. Barque Lady Nugent, Santry. The William Bryant, Harrington, and Jane, were to sail a few days after the Lady
Nugent. They have general cargoes, and all their cabins engaged. j The Sir JohnFalstaff was advertised to I sail 21st October, for Sydney and New Zealand, touching at the Cove of Cork. The ship Olympus had been chartered by the Company to sail on the Ist December. The ship Mary, of Liverpool, belonging I to John Ridgway and Co., may be expected daily. Among other articles, she brings out a large quantity of slates. The Martha Sidgway , on her passage from ! this port to Bombay, was spoken of the west coast of Australia, all well. The Mary Taylor left Kapiti on the 16th inst., for Sydney. The Jane reports the American whaler Columbus, Fish, master, 3800 barrels oil, having sailed from Cloudy Bay on the 1 Oth inst.
