The illuminated album presented to Brigadier-General George S. Richardson, C.8., C.M.G., from the officers of the Ned Zealand Field and Garrison Artillery, is a very handsome specimen of decorative art. Mr W. R. Bock, of Xiambton Quay, Wellington, was entrusted with the design and execution, and the production leaves nothing to be desired. The text of tho address is written in church text with illuminated capitals and beautifully illuminated in the gracious style of the antique mi*sals, the floral corners introducing New Zealand's yellow kowhai, conventionally treated. The officers' signatures cover a number of pages and are grouped according to the military districts. They are those of volunteer officers who served under General Richardson when he was stationed in this Dominion. The address has been handsomely bound in morocco 15 x 11 inches in size, mounted with the silver gilt badge of the New Zealand Artillery, the binding being done a.t the establishment of Messrs Whitcombe and Tombs. Mr W. R Beck also executed the similar illustrated album has. been prepared for presentation to Brigadier-General Sir Andrew Russell. ..'.,..,,.,•. . .
