During, the day a sports gala will be held at Newtown Park, winding up with the usual national concert in the Town Hall in the evening. An attractive programme for the sports should draw, a big crowd. Besides the usual sports events there will be Highland dancing and Idish jig competitions and a baby show. The evening's programme should pack the Town Hall to the doors, the performers including Signor Cesaroni, Mr Forquhar Young (of Christchurch), Mr Ke Kevin Dillon, Mr Herbert F. Wood, Misses Violet Lamacroft, Teresa McEnroe, and Anne Sullivan.
