The Italian Red Cross appeal on behalf of Italy's wounded soldiers is meeting with a hearty response from the public. Bjut there is still much to do. No one should miss the picturesque Italian market which will be running at the Town Hall to-morrow and Friday. It will be as nearly as you can get it a slice out of sunny Italy. Wellington's prettiest girls will be there in the role of Italian contadini, and stalls of great variety will be busy after the Italian, style.

The New Zealand Red Cross ladies are running tea and luncheon rooms ot tlie Town Hall both days, and all) business people are invited on these days to give home, a rest and to lunch, and have tea under tlie Bed Cross auspices. Then the Italian fishermen of "Wellington are giving the whole of their Wednesday catch of fish for their country's cause. They will auction what is wanted for the trade, and the balance will be on sale on Thursday and Friday on a fish stall outside the Town Hall.
