THE "LIMMIES" WARD. OATLANDS PARK HOSPITAL, ENGLAND. The soldier in. tlie foreground is Corporal G. A. Hawkes (30th Reinforcements), who was wounded in the autumn of this year. He lost his right leg as a result of a shell wound, but is now progressing favourably and able to get about on crutches. He is in the Amputation "Ward (nicknamed the "Limmies" Ward.
