WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up to Noon on WEDNESDAY, March 13th, 1918, for the SOLE RIGHT OF DISPLAYING AUTOMATIC MACHINES at stations on the following Sections of the New Zealand Government Railways, with their extensions, for a period of three years from April Ist, 1918 : — North Island Main Line and Branches (i ncluding Kawaka wa-Whangarei, Kaihu, and Gisborne Sections). South Island Main Line and Branches (including Westland, Westport, Nelson, and Pfcton Sections). Tenders must be addressed to the' General Manager, New Zealand Government Railways, Wellington, and marked outside "Tender for Right of Displaying Automatic Machines," and must also be accompanied by a marked cheque oiusome bank for the specified amount in favour of the Receiver-Gen-eral's Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order. Specifications and conditions *of contract with forms of tender can be obtained at the Railway Managers' Offices at Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill, and at this office. The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted. Telegraphic tenders will not be entertained. E. H. HTLEY .
