Some time ago the Sisters of Mercy : purchased the late Mr. John Duthie's commodious residence and lovely grounds at Nai-Nai. Lower Hutt, with, a view to establishing there a home for Catholic little boys whose, fathers have fallen m the present war. The arrangements are now sufficiently well advanced to enable the Rev. Mother to open the Home on the 31st hist, and applications for admission are now being received at the Convent School, in Hill-stret. Already the Girls' Orphanage at the Tipper Htitt contains, in addition to its 130 girl inmates, about 40 little boys, most of whom will be drafted to the new home.
